Problem
The Summer is coming, 520 dessert is getting less clients than the boss expected. The brand, 520 dessert is too new in Flushing, New York, and the boss want to get some help from us so that he can get more clients. 
Role 
This is a side job. I partnered with a marketing specialist Jiayu Wen and tried to increase the sales of the waffle store. For this project, I am a graphic designer who recreated the logo, menu, stamp card business card and posters. 
Result
200+ people step into the waffle store daily and sold 300+ waffles and 50+ TongSui.

-------- Design Thinking -------
Different from traditional Chinese dessert, 520 dessert focus on waffle combined with fruits, sweets etc. This kind of waffle is innovation and new to people. In the mean time, the boss of 520 Dessert brings in traditional Chinese Dessert( Tong Sui), which means the dessert place is a combination of tradition and innovation. It keeps the indigenous flavor of Tong Sui and bring in new fruitful waffle. 
520 means “我爱你( I love you) in China. I combine a heart shape with waffle linear form. 
Front 
In order the reflect the tradition of China, I use square shape front for the logo.
Color 
520 Dessert generally faces to young generation, the color I use is young, cute and full of vitality.

Big Logo
After we discuss with Joe( the boss of 520 Dessert), we realize the brand of 520 Dessert is too new in New York. For a small brand, a big logo is for people to know the store’s existence. It always say “hi” to your clients. Most stores love small logo which will help to upgrade the impression of the brand and store. However, for a new and small brand, the impression of the brand is not formed yet. So the most important thing is get people know 520 dessert.
